death is an enigma that is almost as confusing as life itself. scroggsumptious July 7 2004, 00:12:07 UTC
in times of distress a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear is often the greatest way to offer help to someone who needs it.

Hmmm... death. I understand that it has to happen, but that is my absolute least favorite part of life - the ultimate abandonment for me (but I have a bit of a history here, too, and will share at a later time). You know, I had people in my life like that - not that I knew really well or anything, but that I keep coming back to since their death... maybe we're learning something? who knows.

I'm sorry for your loss and I'll grieve with you for a bit tonite.

We all know that Death is a beginning for the person that left this planet, but this statement never helps those left behind. Quiet listening and hugs are good for grief. There really is nothing to say that can ease the pain of the loss for those left. Just the fact that you were there to get the phone call and there to say something, as well as grieve with them, is good.
