The strange thing is that's easier for me to write in english.
I think the reason is that our education system employs poor methods of teaching when it comes down to expressing your thoughts. One year in american school enabled me to express my thoughts better than 9 years in our schools.

I don't think I can explain what the difference in methods employed is. But the fact is I feel much more free when writing in english than in russian

It seems strange.
Actually I think that the way smbdy explains his thoughts doesn't depends of the language. Of course if you do know it enough well. The set of notions(i mean smth. like algebraic basis of notion space;)) and synthactic foundations are common for almost all indoeuropean languages, isn't it? And nobody thinks with words exactly.
At last, schools's commitment in this area isn't the major one.

And what about armenian?

I do agree that it's strange :) but for some reason I feel free when playing with english words. Maybe I just have a better "feel" of the language...

Regarding armenian, my spoken armenian isn't that good :(. It's by far enough to communicate, but it was heavily influenced by russian and now it's some strange dialect. My written armenian is much much worse, I'm still able to read but not really fast, and I can write separate letters but I can't write whole sentences or even words correctly, since I don't know any grammar.
