The story of how another fat jolly guy would have come for Christmas.

In December of 2007 I was casually looking through eBay. I realized it had been awhile since I have searched for The Road to El Dorado in eBay, not because my love for RtED was waning, but because it is ever so rare nowadays that I find something RtED related that I don't already have. So I typed in my search "Road to el Dorado -vhs -dvd -ellen - ( Read more... )

Aw...darn those anonymous people robots at eBay....

I'm glad you're feeling better, though...man, MRSA's a scary thing.

Yeah I was so upset after that one it was so close and so far away and I asked on eBay they said it was eBay concealing peoples screen names (probably by the buyers request), but personally that's annoying I would have offered to buy it from the winner if I knew who it was. But thanks, yeah MRSA isn't cool.

And what the heck do they plan to do with it? Put it in a closet or something. At least you'd add it to a collection...sheesh.

I know Huh? I got a crap load of rare RtED stuff and the Chief couldn't be a rarer item. Well who knows maybe in a couple of years when the animators are poor and need money they'll sell some of the other statues online. I would guess there is about a max of 5 of each character out there somewhere. After I lost this eBay thing I went to school and showed the eBay page to one of my 3D teachers (who is a big RtED fan), and he couldn't believe someone was actually able to sell it. He said some places actually teach animators how to sculpt those things but I'd imagine it's a dying art now that a 3D printer can do the same thing.
