For me, there has only been two Dreamwork's animated movies whose opening scenes were mind numbingly beautiful and awesome. The first of course was The Road to El Dorado, the second? Kung Fu Panda. I saw a commercial relating to Kung Fu Panda (I think it was for HP computers) and it had some traditional animation to it, and I remember thinking the same thing: "Hey, this looks really cool. Why couldn't DreamWorks make the movie this way?"

Unfortunately, DreamWorks officially went 3D on March 13th of last year. (I really want to know if that was a Friday....)

It's sad...you think they could have said nothing and then maybe surprise us with a 2D movie somtime in the future, but you know that's never going to happen. Sigh....

But, yeah...I've heard some great reviews for Kung Fu Panda, and I might just go see it...:-P.
