I'm in the middle of a design project for a replacement bridge over a road cutting and while I'll be marked on the structural design, the aesthetics are personally important - I'd like it to be more than an exercise in maths. it's boring. It should be PINK. It should have kitten's heads on the side. It should also play japanese pop music 24/7 on some attached speakers.

Now that's the kind of bridge I'd cross MANY times.

I agree with that the bridge would be neater if were pink. Or maybe aqua--ooh, you could paint it all stripy!

Are there no, umm, what're they called, guard rails (?) on the sides? I'm kinda scared of heights so I might be afraid to cross your bridge. (or are those neat diamond shapes railings and I just can't tell?)

Maybe black and yellow stripes would re-create that 'industrial heritage' look?

If it was yellow and black stripes it would look like a hornet and I would refuse to cross it because they are scary.

I think it lacks a certain element of adventure. Perhaps you could replace the entire thing with a swing-rope challenge and ask Richard O'Brien to curate it?
