hey, i just went on your journal after seeing all ur comments on Le_Liban (i do that when i think people are interesting) and i was reading the bio on your userinfo page and i saw that poem:
I am God's Lion, not the lion of passion.... I have no longing except for the One.
When a wind of personal reaction comes, I do not go along with it.
There are many winds full of anger, and lust and greed. They move the rubbish around, but the solid mountain of our true nature stays where it's always been.
"Learn from Ali"
well i think its really pretty...and i'm wondering, who's this "Ali" who said that?lol. I'm just wondering. That's my name and it interests me to know who, with my name, wrote such a pretty poem.
hope u answer me, i know i can be annoying sometimes...anyways, bye,
Hey, that is from a poem by the poet Rumi (Persian Sufi poet). The title is "Learn from Ali" but to be honest, I haven't finished reading the whole poem and I don't really rember what it was about all that much. I think it is about "The" Ali though, the martyr. I'll have to find the poem again and let you know for sure though.
