On the bright side, our other Senator voted for both amendments. And Dodd was one of the first people to speak out against the Habeas Corpus bill originally, wasn't he?

Yes. And Dodd INTRODUCED the habeous corpus restoration amendment (along with Patrick Leahy from Vermont). He has shown some real leadership on this issue.
