I fully expected to be paged several times in the wee hours last night due to some new code going in, but I managed to get my full beauty sleep. Maybe it wont be such a bad on-call shift and I will be in an even better mood going in to my vacation next week. Go Dog Go...

The sun is missing and there's liquid falling from the sky. Considering I am on-call through next Friday morning, it's not like I was going to go on any adventures anyway, and it gets me out of yardwork for the day so it's not necessarily a bad thing. I made it through the Dr appt and it was a fairly positive experience. I wasn't happy to find out how much I really weigh, but thats nobody's fault but my own. The prescription count post visit is 1. After he gets my labs back, there may be more. He prescribed a hypertension medicine that also has a diuretic in it. He actually brought up gastric ( Read more... )

Friday - been off all day. I am headed to the doc for a physical in a few minutes. How many different pills will I come home with? The over/under is two. Yesterday afternoon I went to O'Briens Pub for a tasting of some vintage beers the owner pulled out for a small group of regular patrons. About 16 of us sat outside on the patio and got through 22 different bottles. It sounds like a lot, but consider each taste was only 1-2 oz. I forgot to mention about the drive home last night. We were headed down the long hill from Alpine on I-8. All of a sudden a bundle appears from under the car in front of us. I attended my cousins wedding yesterday. It was at the home/estate of a friend of my Uncle way out in the mountains of the eastern part of the county. Nice ceremony. They kept it short and simple.
