Kisses, Chocolate and Cottages

Three quick drabbles, inspired by different things I've read today.

An expression of amazement set over her delicate features as he gently took her hand in his own. His palm was soft and much larger than her own. He moved slowly, adding to both feelings of sensuality and gentleness. James was good at this sort of thing-timing was everything. With a slowness that set an ache in Elizabeth’s stomach, he brought her hand up to his mouth. Each kiss was something different and new, some long, others short, some dry and others not so much.

James opened his mouth, just where her thumb would connect to the rest of her hand. He tasted it, sucking slightly and licking over the spot before leaving a kiss there. Elizabeth could only think of how good it felt and how wonderful this man was. She hid her face, a smile playing on her lips. James continued to draw his lips over her hand, kissing up each finger to its tip where he’d swirl his tongue around it.

She shuddered. Where had this man been all of her life?

James Norrington watched her place the chocolate into her mouth. He wondered what it would be like to feed it to her himself, her tongue licking off the chocolate that had melted off on his fingers. Oh, this woman would certainly be the death of him. He knew it was for certain. No man of battle could possibly break him down, but Elizabeth was a different story.

Especially when she ate chocolate.

He got up abruptly and grabbed her wrist. A look that said ‘come with me--now’ kept his face straight and he led her up the stairs.

It had been two months since she last saw him. It was her firm belief that the man should always come to the woman, no matter what the circumstances. The community agreed with her, though it wasn’t often discussed. It was just the right way of things.

Two months is quite a lot of time though. Far too much to wait for someone to call. Especially when there were hidden feelings on both sides.

A black horse was all she used for transportation-a carriage would take cause people to take too much notice. She could avoid the roads on horseback and take paths through the woods.

She found him outside a cottage not too far from her own home. He crouched in front of a fire and looked up in alarm when he saw her. It was only fair Elizabeth. A smile formed on his lips as he walked to her to help her down. She found her feet just off the ground right after touching it. His arms were tight around her waist as he lifted her in the air and twirled her around. He kissed a simple kiss on her jaw and set her down.

There’s my James.

What did you all think? I've never done drabbles before, so I'd very much appreciate feedback, including some construcive criticism. Thanks.
