Thank you! You studied Chinese, right? I have NO idea how we're going to survive linguistically, haha. Thankfully one of Kiri's friends is working there and will be able to show us around a bit.

Holy crap! How did I miss this post?? This is AMAZING news! Congradulations!!

Have you been to China before? I am from there. It's a crazy place. How much time will you be able to spend there? How long is your comic? So many questions!

The pages are BEAUTIFUL.

Thank you!

Nope, never been-- I've been to Japan a few times but never China and I'm really excited but REALLY nervous, haha. We'll hopefully be there for a little over two weeks... wish it could be more but my wife has to get back to her job.

The comic is scripted to be 200+ pages. :) I've got the first two chapters already done (they're part of the pitch I'm sending out), but I have a feeling that if I found a publisher I'd be redrawing them so they're up to my current standards...

Yeah, my country is nuts but I miss it. Are you planning the whole trip yourself or are you going with a group? Two weeks is a bit short for a research like thing though. Do you speak Chinese? Too bad I don't have any friends in SiChuan that could help you out.

Just me and my wife, though she has a friend in Beijing who will help us out a bit... and while I can read a bit of kanji I think things like menus will still be far beyond my understanding. I'm hoping to take some kind of crash course before we leave in May ( ... )
