I am ex-LDS but have many fond memories of my time in the church. I especially enjoyed conference time, and hearing wise people speak on universally important subjects. There are many, many roads to the Creator.

So glad that you are getting your spiritual batteries recharged.

Yes, yes, and yes. I think that growing up in Oregon in a less than traditional family, with less than traditional understandings, gave me a lot of ability to be open about what paths we take. In fact, it's one of the things that surprised me when I first went to the temple because there are statements that affirm that quite clearly. So much of what gets passed off as Doctrine is really only Opinion. I have had so many dear friends with whom I share intimate spiritual experience with who have little understanding of the gospel enough to know that we're all there, just walking a few steps apart ( ... )

If it is that was totally not on purpose! I went through and cleaned some dead journals out a while ago and must have accidentally clicked on your name.

I need to go back and actually make notes about talks that I really enjoyed. It's hard to do that while teaching a little one to hear them; her learning took precedence over my own. But there WERE some that I particularly enjoyed. I just can't remember them right now! I will say that Elder Uctdorf's talk in the General Women's Broadcast really, really touched me.
