This is pretty much exactly how I feel.

i don't know how you guys handle your politicians in america. they get SOOOOO icky during election time its hard to respect them after the fact. i thought both romney and obama showed really unattractive sides during everything. makes me grateful for canada where our elections last only like a month and nobody cares about anything to do with your personal life.

That's how I felt. I was pretty indifferent about who actually won. I voted for Obama, but it was because I was severely unimpressed with Romney's demeanor, tactics and plans, and, besides the economy, I agree with Obama. But the economy issues had me running for a republican vote 100%, until I decided I really didn't like Romney. And that whole-heartedly frustrated me, since he's LDS.

This year for the first time I was one of those "undecided" voters up until the day of the election. Mostly because I was so angry at both of the main players and the way they handled themselves ESPECIALLY in the debates. I came *this* close to skipping that part of the ballot all together instead in the end I ended up voting for a 3rd party candidate because I thought maybe this might be the year they got enough votes to break the 5% margin and give us another alternative and keep the other 2 parties in check at least. That didn't happen. However, happily several of the local races went the way I'd hoped so that's good! :)

It was a rough, rough election.

I was dismayed with so much. Ultimately, as a mother of a child who needs heart surgery (and the child lost health insurance for 2 months due to father not paying premium unbeknownst to me), I have to side with the person that protects people like me who literally will be ruined because insurance companies can deny him insurance based on him now having a "preexisting condition." My mama bear takes over, and that is how I go . . . But as for strong feelings about one or the other? They both made me a little sick.
