Yeah, I'm the saaaame way! When I was little, I had SUCH a fear of house fires (not that I don't now, but it's not as intense as it was then). The thing is, the alarm seems to go off here a lot when there's NOTHING, so I'm never sure if it's accurate or not. it's one of the things I haaaate about living on the third floor. When I was on the ground floor, it was nothing to just zip out. Plus add to that that I am NOT willing to take my poor kitty and carry her through the halls where the alarm is so loud *I* can barely stand the sound and then take her down into the confusion for nothing. (as well being on the third floor, if she gets loose, since she has no carrier, she has absolutely no way of getting back home). So basically... yeah, I'm really hating that stuff too. Lol
