At last! I give you Chapter Seventeen, in which we meet more of the Thain’s family and Pippin sets himself to tackle both his children and the Wide World with regard to his future. I shall refrain from rushing over to read until I have finished and sent my Challenge 36 story, and made out the checks for some RL bills. *sigh* But what an incentive: a new chapter of my favorite fic!

As to the British spelling, well, I guess you'd say I've been inconsistent as well. I stick to some that JRRT was rather vehement about, such as Travellers and waggon, and I don't worry overmuch about the rest. As long as my *vocabulary* is not too American, I'm not going to fret over the spelling. As I've said to you before, if that's all someone can find to complain about in your story, you are doing quite well.

As far as *I'm* concerned, quite brilliantly!

*scurries off to get the necessary done*

Hello again! I am so happy to see you here, and so glad you like the Tooks! This chapter's purpose was mostly to help us get to know them a little--to know who it was that Pippin would be leaving behind. Of course, as Merry pointed out to Pink, there ARE a great lot of them, many more than their opposite numbers at Brandy Hall, and getting them all in there without lining them up like the Von Trapp Family Singers was a task in itself ( ... )

I have no idea how I missed this! I only stumbled upon it tonight. I didn't know that you have posted a new chapter. I think my work schedule has kept me from reading my LJ properly. Anyway, I am now on my way to bed but I plan to read this as soon as I can. I want quiet time to sit and enjoy it and just lately that has been in short supply. I haven't been able to read on line or to write anything myself in the past two weeks. I've made little attempts to keep up but the time gets away from me. I am looking forward to this and I am very glad to see a new chapter up. I am anxious to hear what Pippin's family has to say about things and to spend more time with Merry and Pippin. I will send a proper review as soon as I have read the chapter! Night!
