Ah, and here we are, entering this year's Red-head Hell Week. Number of times my hair is mentioned to me during a normal week: roughly once a day. Number of times it's expected to come up this week: roughly every five minutes. I kind of want to post the following sign at my desk at work

In your case, this is a bit odd. Your hair is a color only found in nature. Box colors never achieve that soft subtle mix of pale golden strawberry, or however poetic way you prefer to put it.

THANK YOU. Fucking hell, if I were still working in an office, I'd be stealing your sign and posting it, because that week was always the worst to be redheaded in an office. I don't miss it, not one bit -- and it's not like I'm entirely free of it, either, seeing how if I leave the house then absolute strangers think it's open season to say something. At least with office mates there's the potential, however small, for training.

Which amounts to "I don't leave the house on St Patrick's Day," really. Sheesh.

See, this is why I'm sort of glad I dyed my hair dark. I forgot what a pain in the ass it is to have red hair this time of year.
