I CALL THE BEANBAG KITTY!

Is there fire? And sticks? And wieners and marshmallows?

There shall be fire. And wailing, and rending of garments, and the gnashing of teeth. And marshmallows, and hot-dog simulacra, and PUDGIE PIES! 8D And yard games! We have after much hunting procured an inexpensive badminton set and I am considering building a beanbag toss game or setting up some horseshoes. Because summer just isn't summer without flaming marshmallows, wayward birdies, and non-sober beanbag tossing.

On an unrelated-except-as-it-relates-to-hanging-out note, David and I were talking TV shows tonight and wondered if you have ever watched Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Did I accidentally leave the door to Hell ajar the last time I went down to check on the villa?

I adore your humor, so very much.

And btw: it's been strangely cooler than expected, down here in Texas. Not chilly, just... staying a bit on the cool side. And much windier than I can recall the past few years being. Odd.

It's probably my fault. Every time I move around the country, even just on vacation, there's a cascade of bizarre weather events. I'm like the sarcastic red-headed mobile chaos-sowing cousin of El Niño, or something. Every place I've gone on vacation has been hit by a tornado. I moved across the country in late summer 2005 and look what happened. Right around the times I moved in Seattle we got a violent freak windstorm, tornado touchdowns, and a blizzard. And when I moved back, you were all treated to a year of snow in DC, freezing in Florida, blizzards in the plains states, and flooding out east, while Seattle had no winter at all. Yeah, you're welcome. xD
