Red Riding Hood

So, I just saw Red Riding Hood. Even thought I knew it wasn't going to be a good movie, I still wanted to see it because, well ... I guess because I wish I looked like Amanda Seyfried. She is stunningly beautiful.

And ... RRH was really, really not a good movie. :P It was visually absolutely breathtaking though, with the snow and the woods and ( Read more... )

I know! I don't have girl crushes very often, but I think I might have one on her. Either that or I just really want to look like her!!!

I have watched through S1 & S2 of Merlin at this point. We stopped during the long gap between seasons and now have all of the episodes waiting. I'm a little nervous because of the whole Arthur / Gwen thing, that I am very much not into, but we will definitely get back to watching it at some point.

But even before S3 Morgana gets the greatest outfits! LOVE the deep green velvet ensembles and her hair! Katie McGrath is gorgeous!

I love Amanda Seyfried... I might at least watch this once it's on DVD. :)Well, I can't say I would recommend it, other than as escapist eye candy. The plot ... well ... lacks. As do all of the other characters. I totally couldn't get into either Shiloh Fernandez or Max Irons as a love interest either. But Amanda as Valerie is stunning and the scenery is breathtaking, so in the end I didn't regret the two hours. :P There's an absolutely hauntingly *gorgeous* song on the soundtrack too (by Fever Ray, whom I had never heard of before) that I have now added to my slash-writing playlist, so that was also worth ( ... )

Hee, and one more comment: you inspired me to watch the 1st & 2nd episodes of Season 3 last night. :) Morgana isn't exactly subtle in her own red velvet cape.

Also, although this is totally not a pairing I ship, I was so feeling the Uther/Morgana in that episode! His affection seems to be slightly more than fatherly ... :P She's also going to need to watch the evil smirking, or someone other than Merlin is going to get a clue. ;)

Even the pictures are visually stunning. And that's all I've got. I think I'm sharing your brain dead mood. ;)

It looks beautiful, but is supposedly rubbish, you're not the only one I've seen saying that. :D

PS: Did I say how glad I am to see you around? Because I am. I really, really am. *snoodles*

Oh, it was a terrible movie. Of course, I've been known to enjoy a bad movie in my time, so I didn't regret the two hours; I got enough out of it just from the breathtaking visuals and Amanda. I also got a cool new song by Fever Ray -- whom I had never heard of before -- from the soundtrack, so yeah. Worth it, but I would never recommend it. ;)

Thank you so much, darling. I just love coming out to play for a little while anyway, before the mundane reality of my life imposes itself once more. :D And I am very lucky that there are still people here to play with! *megahugs*

Oh man, so it was exactly as bad as I feared? Sucks! Looks lovely though.

Yes and yes and yes! :) A terrible movie, which is too bad, because the premise had some promise at least, and it is also visually very lovely.

Ah well. I got a new song off the soundtrack too, so all in all I don't regret the two hours.
