i'm working with the committee for larimer county ballot initiative 1a. this proposal is for a .25% sales tax increase ($.25 per $100) to build and fund a detox, residential treatment unit for addicts and an acute mental health treatment unit

Does Mountain Crest not do any of this? For some reason I thought they did. If not, we definitely need something like this in FoCo.

this would augment services offered by mountain crest and the larimer center for mental health. it would offer: a detox center. right now, the closest one right now is island grove in greeley; residential treatment (rehab). the closest one right now is in estes (and is horribly expensive) and would provide long-term outpatient care, including working with a case manager.

the larimer center for mental health offers wonderful services, but this would be more structured, which many people in these situations need.

Guh, yeah I knew about Island Grove, but I thought they had done a little more with PVH in the past couple years. Guess not.
And yes, structure is very important.
