Nothing important to report. We finished our big task at work, and I'm still alive, that's something! ;)

I have a really important question. A few years ago, I saw National Geographic document about The Lord of the Rings. And there, in the background, you could hear fragment of Finnish "Kalevala" performed by a woman. Does anyone know the name of ( Read more... )

Was that NG's LotR Return of the King - Beyond the Movie? I have that DVD; I just breezed through the credits and didn't see anything. But I'll try to watch it tonight to see if they mention it.

Edit: Aha, it was on NG's LotR Fellowship of the Ring - Beyond the movie...but there were no credits for the beautiful voice that sang the Kalevala. It made me a little sad that it was not recorded somewhere where we could enjoy it more, it sure was lovely to hear. :( But if you pick up a book on Kalevala, perhaps you could learn the song for yourself to sing. ;)

Gosh, "Sanctuary for a soul" is so lovely! I love art that brings emotion and this one truly does. Makes one wonder what she is contemplating. ;)
