i don't remember the later books that well, but i think i persuaded myself that i liked them more than i actually did? bc i wanted to like them so very much, but they did not pan out well for me in execution. i loved george, but really the person for me was thom. i was aaaaall about thom.

that thom thing is interesting, i don't think i felt that way at all?? does he have a big part in book 4?? maybe i should go back to rereading... it was just that making this post made me feel validated (....lol) so i stopped near the end of the third book.

i never got to book 4 either, even though i bought them a year or so ago and attempted a reread, haha. poor book 4... i think he has a bigger part to play in book 4, and some kind of a face-off with roger? i didn't really like where thom ended up, but it wasn't about his role though, he was just totally my kind of character. hey, did you know tamora pierce originally planned and i think wrote the series as one adult novel? in which thom and roger had a relationship at some point.
