separating "favorite" from "best" is a CHALLENGE like i'm like "objectively this song was probably not the greatest but i rly liked it so..." and "this was a really nice song and mv but it just didn't click with me as much as this other one which is not as good but i liked it better!"

it IS but I love making that distinction so much, and I think it's important particularly bc I kind of want to examine what resonated specifically with people (or just my friends really, I have like five kpop friends total really) and then be able to see which songs resonated with EVERYONE?? If any of them did? But it's SO HARD to tell yourself that it's okay to pick the dumb one you love over the one you know is objectively better, and also kind of embarrassing sometimes when you love a song you know is kind of stupid A WHOLE LOT.

it's also hard b/c some songs have such different styles that it just feels so impossible to compare them!
