I really thought growl was one of the best songs of the year when my friend showed me the practice video. GAH. I kept rearranging the sm parts of my list but I looked at the 20-30 play counts in itunes - which is unusual for me, I say I've listened to smth a lot after 5 times - and concluded I did indeed spend most of this year listening to the igab/misconceptions of you/pink tape/wolf+growl albums. like p much my top ten is my top ten most listened to albums, unintentionally. like obviously there are some others that qualify. but it's so great that sm put out great albums this year?? not something I was expecting but it happened and it happened a lot to me.

SO SAD ABT TONIGHT painkiller + russian roulette + lonely + that night (my fave!) are incredible.

i just need to comment and say that if i were to rewrite the list now miss A's hush would be on there because at first i was sort of underwhelmed by it (like, i thought it was a solid/well-done song, but kind of boring) and now i'm in love and can't stop listening??? also they look so good in the live perfs *_*

I think it's rly easy for JYP singles to sneak up on you like that? Like. He insists on writing fucking every lead single his groups put out and he's a pretty fine to mediocre songwriter... so most of his melodies aren't actually that great (and Hush's melody isn't that great). BUT IDK IF IT'S HIM OR IF HE HAS GENIUS PRODUCERS or what, but the backtracks are frequently incredible... but I do think that it's easy to find a JYP song meh AND I also think it's easier for people to have diverse reactions to JYP songs. Bc they ARE usually boring, but they're also frequently SO GOOD.

ANYWAY I LIKED HUSH!! I wasn't super in love with it (like I was with Touch), but I hated it the first time I heard it and ended up liking it a lot. And they're all solid performers and yes so beautiful/this style always rly suits them (omg I'm like, IN LOVE with Jia. ALMOST YURI LEVELS and she's not even my favorite, Suzy's my favorite, but I'm not in love with Suzy).
