after spending 1 hr on hold, and 1.5 hrs on the phone, i found out that i dont have to pay any money to get my computer fixed, my warranty lasts until aug.2005

as much as it hurts, you can only go so far to help your friends, sometimes its not in you capabilities to help them through hardship or pain. You can reach out as much as you want, but at some point, they have to hit the ball back to make it work.
its a sucky situation.
