Not pretty

Grrr! I was doing so well with all my piercings, and I fucked up my right ear while cleaning it! I've seen people before with unevenly stretched ears and that always looked funny to me, and now, at least for a time, I'll be one of them! I've done a pretty good job of fighting the OCD, I hope it doesn't kick in now ( Read more... )

У меня была сотрудница, которая мне говорила, что если знала, что работает смену вместе со мной, обязательно всю себя разглядывала в зеркале. Я запросто могу заметить, что у прохожего с которым заговорила, пломба в дальнем зубе, разные носки и т.д.

Well, one hopes that one looks in a mirror every time before they get dressed and leave home! I always notice stuff like that, too.

А как ты умудрилась то?
Я не замечаю, да. Если каждый день бы тебя видела, то заметила бы, что ты сережки, например, поменяла. А так, я забываю сразу же:)
А что такое OCD?

OCD = obsessive compulsive disorder. Mine's not so bad, I worked on making it better. It used to be that I always had to do things evenly - if I have 3 earrings in my right, I need to have 3 in my left, everything needed to be centered, but I forced myself to get over it. My mother is much worse - when she shops, even if it's for groceries, she must have an even number of items or she'll pick up gum at the register or something. She eats things in even numbers, too.

Ear tunnel jewelry of this sort is bigger on either end than in the middle, so that it doesn't fall out. When I took it out to clean it, I must have jammed it in there in a way that injured my ear. It's a bit better today, but I have a feeling I'll have to put smaller jewelry in it when it heals. My right ear for some reason has always been tighter than my left.

Andy sees me every day and he is more likely to ignore such changes!

Aaaah!
BTW, I wanna repierce my belly button. I'm debating :) I wasn't going to do it until I was gonna be done with kids, but figured I can always do it and let it grow over again when needed... What do you think?

My conversation with Daniel today.
Me: I colored my hair again and you didn't even notice (I did, decided that I wanted brighter yet hair :)
D: I noticed
Me: Why didn't you say something?
D: What was I supposed to say? You colored your hair again?
Me: Um.. yeah...

:)

Husbands!

If I remember correctly, you were saying that your future surgeries might involve your lower abdomen? If so, they might be relocating your navel, might be a good idea to wait if that's the case. If not, I usually go to one of two places - either Cold Steel in SF, or to one of Fakir's workshops, where you can get it done for $10 if you don't mind a student.

Yeah, I meant after the surgery :)
I loved my belly button ring... I should totally do it, right? :)

You should! I'll go with you, if you want - I'm good at hand-holding!
