I tend to find verbs the most complicated part of almost any language I've learned (except Japanese, oddly enough - the verbs are relatively simple although reverse engineering from a -te- or -masu ending is hard, but the participles are confusing as all heck).

No, Akira doesn't really remember Isumi or Waya or anyone other than Shindou (and Ochi, but that's just 'cause he's SO ANNOYING XD) until there are too many clues to avoid.

I have this whole headcanon thing that Isumi takes on Kuwabara as a mentor for the challenge of keeping his cool and Kuwabara is more than happy to have him for the LOLZ. (And then Ogata gets jealous suspicious over all the attention Isumi's getting and trolls him, but Isumi's used to Kuwabara at this point, so he's coolly polite and totally reminds Ogata of Akira and they become BFFs except that Waya's there and HE manages to get under Ogata's skin and... I like the supporting characters, okay

All the foreign kids in Hikago are brats, and I love it. Le Ping is completely unapologetic, and I wouldn't have him any other way. It takes someone like Isumi [and Akira] to tolerate it. Hikaru would blow up, or something, even if he's much more mellow at the end of the series. *coughpostSaicough*

I love fic where Akira is a hardcore igo nerd, blind to social and romantic connections, so much so that it's almost criminal. He's comical with his obsessions.
