Title: Miscommunication
Characters: John, Sherlock, mentions of Mycroft, Mrs. Hudson, Irene, and Moriarty
Rating: PG
Warnings/Contains: References to dominatrix things, possible pre-slash

Notes: This is almost a fix-it fic. But it doesn't exactly deviate from canon. And when I say 'possible pre-slash', that's exactly what I mean.

I really, really liked Sherlock's maneuver with John (yes, missing military uniform) and your version of the scores in his game with Irene. Very clever. I'm temped to accept it as my headcanon.
I also like how the fic is John's POV, so you have him Not Know a few things here and there<3
John was so adorably awkward.
Mrs. Hudson is Euphy. If you hate her, I judge you. (I want to give her a machine gun and just… watch.) XD Okay, but only if by Euphy you mean Euphy-the-secret-BAMF. Don't forget Sherlock helped her to get rid of her husband and that she isn't scared of the heads in the fridge ( ... )

Euphy is a BAMF. She needed to die for purposes of plot because she beat Lelouch (sacrilege!) or would have if she hadn't been plotholed.
She's a pretty protected princess who stood up to terrorists and her siblings without backing down. I'm not saying she was perfect (I have significant issues with her philosophy, somewhat lessened by the fact that Japan was never a huge colonizing force, so there isn't that baggage) but she's a surprise!BAMF, just like Mrs. Hudson.
I still want to see what Mrs. Hudson would do with a machine gun and a reason to use it. I bet she'd apologize sheepishly after whatever she did.
Moriarty is in two episodes and demonstrates, like, seven different personalities, all OTT in their own way. We maybe got to see the real him on the roof of Bart's, but I'm not even convinced of that. Still, it's almost impossible to write him IC or OOC, given that he's so changeable (his only flaw ( ... )

(Seriously, though, I avoided fandom because the canon was so good, but fandom may actually be better. Although there are, apparently, crazies EVERYWHERE.)
Given what they've already changed about her (...grr) I wouldn't be surprised if Adler pops back up again. (:
It didn't even have to work for long! Three seconds is all he needed. XD
I tried to make it clear that John doesn't really know what he's doing or why other than... he rebounds when relationships fail and there's no one but him for Sherlock to rebound with? So he's okay. With it. For that reason. Not that he wants it. Or anything.
Honestly, this was supposed to be Johnlock (is that the portmanteau? I'm getting "Lost" vibes from it :p) but then... John was John and Sherlock was Sherlock and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to properly write them together. At least not in a one shot. Probably.

I like that they're awful because the only explanation I can see for the hideousness is that he always wears the ugly gifts people get him (awwww!) or he is actually omniscient, knows we're watching and it's his subtle 'fuck you, I won a BAFTA' to the audience.
Sherlock can look both really handsome and really awkward. But holy crap that smile is AMAZING.
His smile is a biiiit too manic for me to love it (which fits the character) but I love it when he's off balance or senses he's put his foot in his mouth but isn't quite sure how. I like the uncertainty.
Mycroft is probably more interesting than Sherlock.
I don't think I'd watch the Mycroft show (although, who knows, give him the right sidekick and I might) but I agree that he's cleverer than Sherlock. I do think he cares for Sherlock in his way, but Mycroft strikes me as being frozen as the (world-class genius and slightly megalomanical but really don't things run WELL with him in charge) responsible older brother.

Wait.
No.
The Irene and Mycroft show (featuring Lestrade).
About the Jumpers... This is clearly a Bella-like attempt at giving a perfect character some flaws like "bad fashion sense" and "a limp". John is clearly just too good for this world, and his brilliance needs to be dampened by really awful but comfy-looking clothes.
I'm sure I'm alone when I say I would hug that. Yup. Just me. I'm a maverick.
The mania is what I love about the smile. His WHOLE FACE SMILES! ...it's a little creepy, I'll grant.
I think most people would fall in between John's unnatural, idealized tolerance and patience, and Donovan's personal and biting resentful attacks. Sherlock's an ass, but even Anderson (who Sherlock clearly despises more) isn't as personally and constantly vitrolic. I dunno, I just don't like the way Sally is written.
Two Mycrofts? BITE YOUR TONGUE. :p
I expect medical fail, but not in shows that are supposed to have doctors that are ("...any good?" "Brilliant.") decent. But then again... ( ... )
