This one is the one I'll dance to with my father, or whoever gives me away at my wedding, if I ever get married.

There's two things I know for sure
She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes
And I thank god for all the joy in my life
Oh, but most of all for butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."
In all that I've done wrong I know I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night

Sweet sixteen today
She's looking like her Momma a little more everyday
One part woman, the other part girl
To perfume and makeup from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world

But I remember
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"You know how much I love you, Daddy,
But if you don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time."
With all that I've done wrong I must have done something right
To deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precious time
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly.
Spread your wings and fly.

She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said
"I'm not sure-I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her Momma there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"

Oh, with all that I've done wrong I must have
done something right.
To deserve your love every morning and butterfly
kisses-I couldn't ask God for more, man this is what love is.

I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
every hug in the morning and butterfly kisses

This one, I used to lay in bed as a little girl, listen to this, cry, hold my hands in the air and I felt like I felt someone coming down from the sky and holding my hand.

It was no accident, me finding you.
Someone had a hand in it, long before we ever knew.
Now I just can't believe you're in my life.
Heaven's smilin' down on me as I look at you tonight.

I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars.
He sure knew what he was doing when he joined these two hearts.
I hold everything when I hold you in my arms.
I've got all I'll ever need, thanks to the keeper of the stars.

Soft moonlight on your face, oh how you shine.
It takes my breathe away, just to look into your eyes.
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you.
But there really are no words to show my gratitude.

So I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars.
He sure knew what he was doing when he joined these two hearts.
I hold everything when I hold you in my arms.
I've got all I'll ever need, thanks to the keeper of the stars.

It was no accident, me finding you.
Someone had a hand in it, long before we ever knew.

And this song, just straight up made me get chills and cry when I was little.

Johnny's daddy was taking him fishin'
He was eight years old.
Little girl came through the front gate
holdin' a fishin' pole.
His dad looked down and smiled,
said, "We can't leave her behind"
"Son, I know you don't want her to go,
but someday you'll change your mind."
And Johnny said,
"Take Jimmy Johnson,
take Tommy Tompson.
Take my best friend, Bo.
Take anybody that you want as
long as she don't go.
Take any boy in the world,
daddy please, don't take the girl."

Same old boy, same sweet girl
ten years down the road.
He held her tight and kissed her lips in
front of the picture show.
Stranger came and pulled a gun
Grabbed her by the arm said "If you do what I tell you to,
there won't be any harm"
And Johnny said "Take my money,
take my wallet,
take my credit cards.
Here's the watch that my grandpa gave me
Here's the key to my car
Mister give it a whirl,
But please don't take the girl."

Same old boy
Same sweet girl
Five years down the road
There's gonna be a little one and she
says it's time to go.
Doctor says the baby's fine
but you'll have to leave
'Cause his momma's fading fast and
Johnny hit his knees and there he prayed
"Take the very breath you gave me.
Take the heart from my chest.
I'll gladly take her place if you'll let me,
make this my last request.
Take me out of this world
God, please don't take the girl"

Johnny's daddy
Was taking him fishin'
When he was eight years old
