you don't need a code to get a journal anymore.

i'm honestly shocked.
but at least now, my friends (who don't have journals) are able to get one without asking around for codes. that makes me happy.

i think it's because everyone had to go through great troubles to find codes. & it was like this "elitist" thing to have a livejournal. now anyone can have one, & it seems like a waste. hah.

(or so i've been hearing.)

i'm okay with it (because of my friends who don't have journals like i said above), but at the same time, it sucks. :/

I really don't like the idea of this. I like knowing that I'm part of an exclusive group of people that had to work hard to earn their code and then became part of the group that had journals. If you didn't have a code, you didn't get in. Now the only restriction is not knowing about LiveJournal and not having a computer, which can also be fixed. :\

But maybe it won't be as bad as we think. Hopefully they act responsibly with the new journals, and I'm glad that they are taking action to ensure that there will be less namehogging. It will still happen just because people can make more email accounts just to get the name and then just abandon it, but at least they will delete them if they do that. :]

xo.
