I watched the last 3 episodes of What If tonight, and they all felt like...What if bleak things happened to characters you love and lots of them died? I'm hoping the next few will be more upbeat.

Good for you on the writing AND painting! I'd love to repaint around here but the effort needed to clear a room--ANY room--is too much to contemplate.

I watched the first What If the other day. I was kinda meh about it, but then again, I was pretty meh about most of the first Cap movie. I was going to watch the rest unspoiled, but I think I'm going to look at synopses at the least before watching.
Good to hear about the writing.
And hey! I'm catching up on B99 myself. I hadn't watched since the new season finally started. It's pretty fun, definitely easy to watch.

I liked the first Cap movie, it was one of my favorites, but I was annoyed by the What If episode. I thought Peggy should have been allowed to be a superhero without needing her boyfriend as a superpowered sidekick. Or since he was, that it should have had a happier ending, that somehow his being there changed events so that they survived the war together and had a happy life.
I can spoil you more if you want, but basically what I already said, there are lots of deaths in episodes 3, 4, and 5 of What If. It's an AU, doesn't impact movie canon, and all that jazz, but I watched those three all in one evening and found them depressing.
I'm only up to the last episode of S2 of B99, so I've got a long way to go. It's good to have something amusing in my bubble.
