Male cows (bulls) have one udder. You can milk a male cow, it just takes more work.

I had this lesson when I moved to the farm:

Steer = castrated male bovine
Heifer = female bovine who has never given birth
Cow = female bovine who has given birth
bull = male who has all his bidness and therefor haveth his way the ladies.

Shortly after this discussion, thinking he was making some kind of point, Mike pointed out that I was a heifer until we had kids. Thanks hon, you always know what to say to a gal.

my problem wasn't the designation "cow" given to the boys per say (though it would have been preferable to have gotten this tidbit correct)... it was mainly the fact that all the boy cows have udders.

so now that you arent a heifer, does mike call you a cow?

Considering how asanine the writing coming out of hollywood is these days, im not surprised,

But you have to admit, a cow is a lot funnier than a bull.
