I did.

I walk more than that, combined, most days just getting around town, but a 1.5 hour walk after a 1.5 hour bus/train ride was not my preferred method of travel to the event.

It's not my kind of town either. Trashy, extravagant, permanently drunk. Lots of prostitutes, pimps, and aspiring porn stars. I gambled one dollar in the slot machine -- and lost it.

How long are you going for? With whom? Where will you be staying?

i'm going for about 6 days for a professional conference. I will be staying at one of the big hotels (venetian?). my parents are meeting me there so that we can spend a little time together at the end of the conference, and we might go to the hoover dam. I'd like to go to the grand canyon, but it may be to far a trip...i definitely don't think i'll need 6 days in vegas but i'll be at the conference wed, thurs, fri, and sat, and will be leaving monday. gambling is totally not my thing. I work too hard to throw my money away for fun. I'd rather give it to a homeless person on the street or donate it to cancer research. thats a much more worthwhile risky investment/gamble to me.

Sorry I wasn't able to protect your bag from the ruffians at our airport, Gilad. Hope you guys had a nice trip, I heard hotel prices are becoming more affordable in Vegas because of the economy. But that's everyone's excuse for everything...

Fear, loathing, cheap rooms, cheap girls -- Vegas has it all. We did look for you at the airport -- but you weren't there. Miraculously, our luggage made it all the way to Vegas and back. Go figure. And it was nice to fly from GFK to a destination other than MSP. Very refreshing. I think I might try LAX next.
