I don't know how to keep up my exercise routine this summer. I can't really go to Curves anymore once I move to camp because I only have free time one day a week. I can't go any day during the week due to working 14+ hour days and also being a director. I would be impossible ( Read more... )

that is a good idea. the first comment.
and i am pretty sure that there is a curves in sheboygan.

get up early in the morning and walk or jog or whatever it is that you do.
give deb suggestions on food.

and um . . . good luck with the more involved activities. . .
i have a feeling if you do that then camp will be divided like all summer . does that make sense?
like one group will do activites and then the tired ones or the ones who refuse to do anything . . .mallory!!! and almost all of the other teenagers . . .will stay back.

on a relative note, i totally know how you feel. i joined a gym and felt great about msyelf, lost almost 15 pounds, had all of this energy, and when i decided that i was moving out of the city i canceled the membership because there isn.t that gym where i am moving. . .
and now i feel like a slob, i gained pretty much all of the weight back, as much as i deny it, i have little to zero, energy, because i am work so much . . .so i can totally relate.

The first idea is a good one. But even though the food is bad for you, and it sounds like you have no other realistic options, eat in moderation. The camp activities will help, too, for sure. Could you take walks at night or early in the morning? Any way you could work out on the weekends? That's at least better than nothing. :o)

It might help not to eat 2 hours before you go to bed. You can lose A LOT of weight by doing that. Also, if you get into a routine of doing sit-ups or something before bed, that would help. I know this has been a real challenge for you, and I know you can master it...with buns of steel. :o)

Now would be a good time to try weight watchers. I know that you are busy and cannot make the meetings, but if you would like I can loan you all of my stuff. I haven't been usingit in awhile anyhow. The good thing about weight watchers is that you can eat whatever, its just how much of whatever that you look out for. I think it might be your best option considering what you mentioned in the entry about your time and such. It sucks that to care for others, you have to sacrifice yourself so much. Thats how I felt when I worked with the elderly people and I couldn't do it. I am still amazed by your personal strength and I know you can do whatever you set out to do. Good Luck! If you want the books let me know.
