Gotta try and entertain myself enough to stay awake all day. The Mrs. wants me to pick her up at 2:30 or something, and I know if I go to sleep I might not get up in time to do it. i've been following the stuff in the ddtonline (which impressively enough is updated daily). Seems that they can't get jack done because everyone is too busy whining about the police being incompetant. I read in one article that the family is upset because an officer looked in the trash can but didn't go thru the bags. I guess i can understand what they are going thru, but the point is that the little girl would have still been dead even if they had found her saturday night instead of sunday. And now today the paper is all filled with how the black community is in an uproar because they are saying the reason the police didn't do a good enough job is because that little girl was black. I mean...good god. Do they think the officers are monsters. She was 6 years old, and I'm sure they did all that they could do.

I understand why the mother is upset, but really I feel that the police did everything they could. Who knows if the child was even in the can at the time the officer looked there. As for this bullshit about the cops not doing enough because the kid was black, My God people fucking over half of our pd IS black. I agree that the child was probably killed Saturday night, but how the hell can we know? Hell the cops mounted a search party and everything. I hope that she isn't just looking for a check. Unfortunetly, I wouldn't be surprised.

As for the updated everyday thing, Our website is done by an outside company.

oh well maybe that would explain why it's updated regularly then...
I was telling some people around here about it (black and white) and both sets said the same thing you did. That the mother is probably just hoping to get money from someone. Too bad they sent two white cops out to the house...I have this feeling that if one had been black this would never have been an issue.
I just hope that they catch whoever did it soon. I'm thinking they must have known the little girl...it's too coincidental that she was found in a garbage can by her grandmother's house.
