Our family is safe, thankyou - most of our relatives are in New South Wales, and the serious bushfires were a state over down in Victoria, but one of my friends from school lost her grandmother and uncle. We're now getting torrential rain as a change - one of the cyclones up north has headed down the coast, and although it's no longer a cyclone, it's left a huge rainstorm behind. I think it's extinguished all the bushfires in this state, but not sure if it's reached Victoria, where it's really needed. Some areas in the north of the state flooded this week! It's truly crazy weather.
I'm staying well out of it - just about to start playing for the opening night of a production of West Side Story *starts humming Maria, so down at my parents' place at the moment and checking emails, then going out for a birthday dinner with my church friends down here on Sunday after the last show. Definitely keeping busy!
