Last night was one of the most ridiculous of my night, involving a block party, having my back forcefully realigned, an acoustic punk rock show, and watching Donkey Kong almost get arrested for his verbal assault on the 5-0.  These things summarize this year well.

It's officially the half time show for college now.

"The overall message on every AVA song," says Tom DeLonge, "is that tomorrow could be the best day of your life."

Tomorrow will always be the best day of my life if it doesn't include hearing his bastard weasel voice in any of his flop projects.

You think the Sachem Central School District can't get much worse until you find out that Doug Duncan is on the school board now.

Un-fucking-believable.

The screening of "Daniel Striped Tiger" went amazingly well, and the evening activities were just as good.  There is something about talking to George and Isaac and Travis about movies that is so wonderful, along with everyone else.  It gives me so many ideas, and so many movies to watch, too.

it is unreasonable that i am not living there next year.

there is nothing in the whole world like watching what "Boys Don't Cry" does to the entire dance party in the kitchen.

My grandmother always says I have a little bit of her father in me, and I wish I could talk to him now more than ever. She has one of his rare books, Khalil Gibran's "The Prophet," and I am amazed at the family I have more than ever.
