Given that I'm trying to whittle down some sizable debt, and given the fact that I've been toying with the idea of making an expensive, difficult move, I feel like it's time to let go of some stuff...Namely: my flue and piccolo. I've apparently got a Gemeinhardt sitting around now that I have no idea how to play.

I am given to believe that this doesn't help you at all.

I have no idea what your debt situation looks like, but if you've got something sitting around that you don't use and you don't plan on using and it takes a substantial chunk out of that then yeah. Just make sure you get a fair price for it.

I took them to get looked at/appraised today. I'm guessing I could see the picc for about $300 and the flute for about $800. Nothing to sneeze at, for sure.

yeah....I'm leaning that way. I put the picc on craigslist, but I don't think I'll sell the flute unless I'm really strapped for cash.
