I LOVE the Acadamy Awards. My parents watched it, loved it, and passed that onto their kids.

Only this year. Wow. Jon Stewart hosting, Dolly Parton preforming, and I've seen or will see in the next month a mjarotiy of the nominated films.

It's goingot be so much fun, I'm going to need to find a party or soemthing.

Man, I am so out of the loop on these movies, but working very hard to catch up. We just saw Crash over the weekend (whoa is one way to put it, intense is another - !), and Hustle and Flow is second next up on netflix! After seeing Terrence Howard in Crash, I am way excited to see more of his work. And I LOVE Catherine Keener, and am glad she's getting some recognition for Capote (another movie that comes out on DVD in March I think so will just wait it out at this point). I hope to be able to have better disussion with you over newer movies one of these days anyway, after I do a boatload of homework. :P

I TOTALLY need to see Hustle & Flow. I'm going ot see if it's on On Demand this weekend.

Damn - Being John Malkovich. All-time Catherine Keener performance, hands down. I heard she's in 40-yr old virgin, which I have on my queue. I told you I am waaaaay behind, lol.

Yeah, my mom loved - LOVED - Hustle and Flow. All she kept telling me was oh yeah see it, see it soon. Now you want to ever know about any movie at all, my mom's your gal. I think she still goes to the movies at least once a week, if not twice. Been doing so at least for 10-15 years. She is way on top of that situation that's for sure!
