I hate it when people use the term "anniversary" to refer to months (eg - "It's our three month anniversary!"). Anniversary comes from the Latin words annus, meaning "year" and versus, the past participle of "return." Together they mean "returning yearly." I was browsing deviantART last night. One of the daily features was a photograph by this girl, 21-years-old who died of leukemia just one day before I read this. The photo was powerful, sad and incredibly brave for her to take as were many of her other photos because she chose to document her slow, painful decline on film. Tonight's the big night. Season 9 premier of Stargate: SG-1, Season 2 premier of Stargate Atlantis and Season 2 premier of Battlestar Galactica.

I can't believe Stargate made it to a 9th season. That's just craziness. Even Star Trek: TNG only made it 7. Plus they've got ( spoilers )

I made this picture last week and I was pretty happy with it. I put it online and I glowed with creator-ly pride at the work of my hands. Then I realized how much the lines suck on this particular piece. I had this dream last night that I went to get a tattoo of some anime character on my arm, but the tattoo guy completely screwed it up. When I told him he did it wrong he said he didn't care. I saw War of the Worlds with my dad tonight. He didn't like it. Apparently a lot of people didn't. Well I did. A lot.
