Freedom-Loving Lakota Declare their SecessionLet's see what happens, I guess. This is exciting. There's not much news on this in any of the mainstream media yet. Usually when Indians talk the press does everything they possibly can to ignore it--I hope this gets the attention it deserves

Is this a mainstream movement in the Lakota, or more of a fringe movement? That could have a lot to do with how the government reacts to it. The Zapatistas had a great deal of popular support in the local population.
