Quick update

Been in Tempe--was here to witness the Tempe tree holocaust, which was reminiscent of the Norman tree holocaust, but with 75 mph winds and intense rain and generally hurricane-like conditions instead of ice. A big tree fell down right by the porch where my lovely hostess were standing watching the madness, and this neighborhood was impassable by

And just as you're on your way to CA (admittedly, the icky southern part), I'm headed for the airport. I suppose that's the way things are.

I guess I'll just have to hope you fall madly in love and stay. Oh, if you do make it up to the bay area, though - look up Mark Garner. I don't know how much you guys overlapped at OU, but I think you'd have a lot to talk about from the last few years. I can get you his contact info.

Well, I'll be in the bay area in about a week, for an as-yet unknown length of time. So, I'd love his contact info. I met him once or maybe twice at OU, but I would like to hook up with him and if you think we'd have a lot to talk about, I reckon you're right.

And if you have any other words of advice while I'm in your haunts, I'd be happy to hear them.

That's phenomenal. It actually made me weepy that it makes you think of me. :-) That's really a beautiful song. Gives me chills. They're right, you know? I might have a new rival for favourite band. At least for a while. I can't believe I hadn't heard of these guys. You know they're going to be in Tulsa at Cain's ballroom Oct 16?

Maybe when I'm next in Denver, they'll be back. I'd love to see them.

Here's a good Goth-dance song of resistance and what it means to be a Warrior. And it's set to an Advent Children AMV. Cruxshadows - Eye of the Storm I heard that one months and months ago on a trip to Guthrie's lost city with a couple of Goth folks, and it really bought the little Goth Warrior-Chick inside my heart out and set her dancing around.
