I'm still not sure what my mid-term plans are (e.g.: when I'm getting back to Okieland), and I want to allow myself particular freedom regarding the Bay Area--but I also think before this month is out, I should have a pretty clear idea if I'm coming back in mid-October or late November. I do want to make it back for your wedding, even if I don't get to officiate (which I also want very much to do), but I also feel a strong need to make inroads to certain communities in which I hope to find at least some measure of home.
Thanks for giving your friends a heads up for me. I've got a fair bit to do today, but I'm excited.
Send me a current email address - mine is electrichobbit at gmail, and I'll send you Mark Garner's contact info. He's in El Cerrito, which is right by Berkeley.

They talk a little about hoodoo, Peruvian Curanderismo, and muy mucho about plant allies, dieting plants to develop that sort of relationship with them, etc. I understand Susun Weed better now for it.
I was missing Heidelberg over the weekend too. I've been trying to slowly sort out our box room come study as it's a pigsty and I stumbled across my box of Heidelberg photos and stuff. On Friday night I was up until 2am starting to collate some of them in a scrapbook/photo album. It was really nice looking at all the photos again and being nostalgic about it all. It's also really cold here (and incredibly wet, York looks quite flooded!) and I was thinking that this time 3 years ago we'd have been sat on the Neckarwiese! Crazy!
Man, that's so nuts. I can't believe how long ago it was. At the same time, I totally can. It's like a totally different time continuum.
You're on the list of people I really miss. I am having fun, and I hope you're doing well. You should send me your analog-world address so I can send you a postcard or something.
Hey man, you misspelled my name. It's jonahdove. ;-) jdove is someone else entirely on LJ, though my other blog is jdove.wordpress.com.
I'm glad for all of your confusion and clarity while you were here. One more step down the path, right? I'm sure my place has been more low-key than some of the others. I hope that was restorative rather than boring!
Restorative rather than boring--that says it well. It definitely has been. I've been glad for the peace and quiet and well-stocked library. ;-) The company, when it's been here, has been good too.
