I have! A few years back I was thinking of starting a photography business and they were super helpful, but of course we lost transportation, etc. so it fell through.

If you want to talk to someone in person I know Brad(Logan) out of Amtgard has started at least 2 businesses. And Ominique also has a business. And Aaron (Martello) is studying information systems management which might have some useful bits.

Here's an option that is something of a long shot, but definitely worth keeping an eye out for: a business partner. Finding someone who does have a head for business and those kinds of details, and believes in the viability of your idea enough to work with you to make it happen. One possibility is that you may have to learn enough to start the business yourself, and if that goes well enough, you may be able to attract a business partner. I only have anecdotal evidence to suggest that a partnership between a creative type and business type would be more robust than a business in which the creative person (or persons) also figure out the business details, but it makes a logical sense to me. :)

My education is focusing on the managerial side (dealing with people) rather than the business side (dealing with numbers), but I am taking at least a few business side classes, so any advice I can offer, I'd be happy too. :)
