So, I've been blue lately, but I'm feeling much better because of some good things. It's late so I'll pass on the proper structure and just list them ( Read more... )

Bi-polar?

Yeah, bipolar or manic-depressive. I just don't like using clinical terms because self-diagnosis is a dangerous realm for the pseudo qualified (Heavy emphasis on the pseudo). Also, I was mocking myself for being stupid because I should know those terms because I'm a neuroscience major.

bipolar := Manic Depressive. Just a more PC term.

does your new plan involve you taking summer classes? how/when does one sign up for such courses? and where does one live during the summer when one has been in europe for several months and can't secure housing for oneself? these are questions that need answering, because i only took 12 hours this semester, and i'd rather catch up over the summer than have to double up during my senior year.
also, i'm glad you're doing linguistics again. the things you learn in those classes were much more understandable to me, and thus more interesting and of superior value to the world at large.
were you literally blue, like grover? or more figuratively blue, like b.b. king? (although, at times he might seem a shade of navy, i don't think that's what he means in his songs.)

I'm not going to take summer classes, but I will be doing research over the summer. While doing research, I'll be living in my fabulous apartment which is in desperate need of a summer sublet for some of my other roommates. We should sign the lease on Monday, so I can make concrete plans then if you want to stay there over the summer. Also, if you'd like to continue living there over the semester, that may also be a possibilty.
More of a cookie monster blue.

PS the business school may do their summer program differently than Tulane, so if I were you, I'd check out their website and e-mail some folks.

I probably would like to stay there over the summer, provided I can afford it. Nay, it is possible I would like to stay there into the fall, but that can certainly be discussed later.
If you wanted to email me about the rent price and the location and such, that would be excellent.

It's on Jefferson and Clara and it's a 4 bedroom for 1500 a month. That means 375 plus utilities per person. The rooms are very large so some people may be sharing rooms with boyfriends or girlfriends and that might drive the price down to 300 a month or even 250. If you choose to stay there over the summer, that would make four confirmed tenants for the summer. It's got off-street parking, central air, washer and dryer, and kitchen things. I don't think it's furnished so we'll have to find a big wooden spool for a coffee table. To give you an Idea of where it is, Clara is one block closer to St. Charles than Willow and Jefferson is about 5-6 blocks from campus in the downtown direction. If you can recall the distance from the rocket house to campus it's virtually the same because the rocket house is on Jefferson and Lasalle.

Hasn't the Big Blue Book (even though it is now green) been out since the beginning of last semester? I think I got mine around October.

You are a sick, sick man. Your bibliophilia seems a little too carnal to those of us in the know. And as far as the bi-polar thing goes, unless your emotions stay stable for at least two weeks and then suddenly shift for the next two plus weeks, it is not clinical bi-polar and is instead a personality disorder that only the wonder-drug lithium can dampen. Love your Lithium. LOVE IT DAMN YOU!

I purposefully avoided making any claims that I have anything seriously wrong with me. You know what I described is called? huh? It's called being a goddamned human being. I pity the man without ups and downs. I envy the man with downs however; he likes firetrucks and ice cream.
