Larb?

May 04, 2004 02:30

I ate larb today. Larb is ground pork or chicken with vinegar, onions, mint, and what I think is bulgur wheat served with raw cabbage to wrap it in. I am intrepid for having discovered this. I deem larb to be tasty, but not worth getting instead of the myriad of tasty things awailable at Bangkok Thai. That is all.

Larb doesn't sound at all tasty. The larb corporation needs a new marketing strategy I think.

I dissent. As long as the vineger is kept well below overpowering levels I believe this Larb has some serious potential.

Further development may be required.

I mean the actual name of Larb. An informal focus group (consisting mostly of myself) deemed "Larb" to sound anti-appetizing.
Although the ingredients don't sound so tasty either, when it comes down to it.

The name, aside from consonantal awkwardness, sounds a bit too much like "lab" for my taste. Or lard. Don't care for that.
