Does anyone on here not read my facebook?

I am wondering if there is any reason to update here instead of facebook.

I read both but I read facebook more often. It seems easier to put in long posts on LJ than facebook.

I'm less likely to overlook a post here than on Facebook, and also less likely to read the post through a Facebook-inspired haze of soul-crushing despair. To the extent you want to be certain that I, in particular, will see your posts and will see them while in a relatively good mood, you should post them here, and not on Facebook.

But posting in both places is just going to annoy me.

It's funny becasue a few hours after I posted this I realized the advantage of posting here, fewer people read LJ. Which means if I want to post something without making sure to filter it and hoping that no one comments on it that has mutual friends with me, I can post it here and the important people will see it.

I'm less likely to miss an update here. I swear, if you have too many friends on Facebook, the status updates for some of them just never show up in your news feed.

I post to LJ less often these days, but really it serves a different purpose. I rarely post things on both places.
