Action-packed day yesterday with camera working overtime (you have been warned...)

To begin with I crawled out of bed at 6.30am. Lauren was off galivanting around spalding (if that's at all possible) doing Unicorn Plot Stuff (allegedly, although I gather alcohol was involved too) so at least I didn't have the sight of her still curled up asleep to ( Read more... )

ace pictures, i can't wait to see the film :) how does one get involved with it's a trap? i'm only a n00b prop maker but it's something i'd really like to get in to, along with costuming. though i know they have loads of creative types at their disposal already....

We're always looking for help; you've already given us a much appreciated hand with those severed elf heads (which have come in handy on several occassions since the first!) Next thing requiring props and costume will probably be the Steamtech event we're planning next year; lots of Victorian costume and brass-rivetted gadgetry... Lauren's getting costume patterns together now and would certainly appreciate any help you can offer.

ooh ace, i shall talk to her then.. i keep thinking of a zillion things i need to say to you and or lauren, and then either forgetting or feeling like a freak for bombarding you with stuff. current messages for you are:
•i'm going to paint my dining room the same colour as yours! thanks for telling me what it is..
•would you like a couple of crocosmia lucifers? they're not quite what i had in mind for my garden, but they're very pretty and my parents are refusing to take them home again :)

It feels weird how little I see any of you lot any more.
I feel especially sad when I see yet another wedding that I've missed.
Glad they had a happy time, will have to send them a congratulations card - could you email me their address as I don't have a clue where they are.

Glad the film is going well. I don't ever hear from Tom any more apart from when he is recruiting minions. Is this his new project then? I vaguely hearing something about a costume that Nigel made - is it the scary green headed one as it looks cool.

Must catch up with people - feeling a bit lost here in Norwich lately.

I'll text you their address; never quite confident in putting peoples details up on the web!

Film project was Nigel's brainchild for a few of us to get his pet monster suit project on film (yes, it's the big latex costume in the stills) but Tom got involved and the project swiftly frew beyond its original scope. Not necessarily a bad thing mind you!

I don't think that any of us are out at t'pub as often as we used to be, although the Kings Head on a Friday evening is a good bet for meeting up with the usual crowd.
