Angelique blushes brightly, but her hand tightens around his. "-- I would -- not dream of refusing you, my lord," she murmurs softly, demurely, suddenly timid.

Because she doesn't exactly know what to expect, but she knows what to expect.

She's nervous too - bot afraid, though, but worried that he won't -- find her acceptable, that maybe she won't be able to do whatever it is that she's supposed to do correctly, that --

But she trusts her husband (heee!) with her life, her body, her soul, and more.

And he blushes as well, of course, perfectly embarrassed, but he draws her close - his wife, his beautiful wife, could this be any more like a dream?

"I am here," he says, gently. "And will be, forever, for you."

For the stairs, then? In spite of their respective nervousness.
