It echoed in her mind. Repeating through the haze of pain and the agony of stress on her shoulders and wrists. "Your son was killed on the day he was born." It made her breathing shorter, her focus slip just ever so slightly, just enough that she could actually feel the pain of her Agiel against her skin.

Zedd, he was there, somewhere in the lower caverns of the keep. Richard was out there, he'd find out, he'd come for them. Save them both. She just had to withstand it, get above the fact that she'd allowed herself to follow Dahlia. Cara knew it had been a trick, knew that it didn't matter if her son had been taken or not, yet here she was - hanging from the ceiling, split lip and bruised cheekbone. The blood that had dried felt itchy, but it didn't matter because each drip of sweat that rolled across an open wound, it stung. It reminded her that she was still alive, still able to be beaten. As the hours passed, she was lapsing in and out of awareness, retreating into the darker corners of her mind, letting the pain get boxed up on its own.

"...but happy thoughts about Richard are not going to protect you."

"They already have, and if you were half the Lord Rahl he is, you wouldn't have to break someone to get her to do what you want."

She coughed at the feeling of her Agiel at her side, a low laugh rumbling in her chest, despite the raw feeling at the back of her throat. She heard Dahlia speak of the Sisters of the Dark, heard Darken Rahl invite the danger into his realm... and then...

Then her body felt weightless, her arms feeling as if they wanted to move up above her head of their own will. The cool of the floor pressed to her skin, a shallow breath shuddering out of her as she exhaled weakly. Her palms flattened against the ground, attempting to pick herself up, but unsure of her own ability to do so.

"Zedd..." her voice called out weakly, hoping the old Wizard had finally figured out how to remove that collar and had saved them.

[ooc: Whoever tags first, can help her that way she's not being helped by several people at once. Anything after the initial helping her, should be bumping into her as she wanders around aimlessly trying to figure out how to break the spell that brought her there. For reference she's in that and then leather boyshorts too]
