Work went on as it always did for Helen. Meaning, of course, it was what she focused on as opposed to attempting to have some sort of social life. She had seen a few in passing, and had last spoken to Dean when he was staking out in his car. Other than that, Helen hadn't seen many of the inhabitants of the mansion lately

Sam had mostly been eating in his room. He was extremely embarrassed about that vampire incident, no matter how long ago it was. He was worried that people would think less of him for it, despite everyone working out that it was some kind of curse. But he was also being a hermit because of his research, which he really enjoyed doing. There was also the fact that he was getting nowhere with it and didn't want anyone asking him when they could go home.

But he figured it was time to emerge from his room and be more social again. Especially since he had actually missed seeing some people. Helen was one of them. He had a lot of respect for her and really enjoyed talking to her. So he smiled when he saw her and walked over to the table.

"Do you mind if I sit with you?"

Helen looked up with a smile. "Not at all, please." she made a gesture with her hand as she sat up right and leaned back in her chair. She glanced down to find his furry companion missing.

"It's been some time, hasn't it?"

"Yeah..." Sam rubbed the back of his neck as he sat down and blushed a little. This was going to make it very obvious how much of a geek he really was. "I haven't really been out much lately..."

"It's understandable." Helen nodded. "We all have our quirks and our ways. I take it your furry companion keeps you company?"
