Avoiding bars those first couple of days had been only natural, and Damon had been content to have his usual requirement of booze sent up to his room instead of dealing with the masses. Did someone say risk? Rose had a knack for risk, in that she tended to zoom in on any nearby danger without always realizing that's what she was doing. Such as in this case, when she decided on a whim that she could do with maybe a pint tonight, if the city was going to continue to be so unhelpful, and ended up choosing a spot at the bar right near to the aforementioned agitate-able vampire.

"D'you know what...I'll just take whatever he's havin'."
